They tell you to look out for the crocs in the NT but it’s really the mini-dinosaurs which are still alive.

    1. Probably baited by the title, but why not. That’s of course not a dinosaur, but a frilled lizard.
Dinosaurs are a group of archosaurs, unlike lizards, which are lepidosaurs.

The *Dilophosaurus* in Jurassic Park was shown with frills similar to frilled lizards, but afaik there is no evidence at all they had those. It’s just a cool bit of speculation which was obviously inspired by these guys. And honestly why not, it looks rad

I lived in the NT for a couple years, got attacked by lapwings more than anything else

When i was a kid and i saw the first jurassic park my favorite dino was the dilophorosus.

A few time after, i saw in a book talking about lizards some pictures of the Frilled lizard and i just went totally nuts about this animal.

Even tho they are small they are the most good looking lizards on my list, next to the Jackson’s chamaleon (the one that have three horns like the triceratops)

Lizards are still the best kind of animals in my list, everything about them is damn cool

I just love their casual terms for things.

“taking pictures of *frillies* on the road”

Such a sweetie. They can’t hurt you too bad usually so they are just a little territorial menace. So cute.

    6. Why friend shape was the first thing that popped in my mind and then thought those lizards are so awesome.
